Williamson County grading and clearing from a Lawrenceburg shop

Middle TN Grading & Clearing is run by brothers Josh and Mark Collier out of 355 Tripp Road in Lawrenceburg. Most of our work is in Lawrence, Maury, Giles, Marshall, Lewis and Wayne counties. We also take Williamson County jobs, and we would rather be straight about how that works than pretend to be around the corner. There is no Williamson County office. The machines come up on the trailer, which is why we focus on larger jobs here.

What we do for Williamson County landowners

The same work is described in more depth on our core pages for house pads, excavation, driveway grading, land clearing and culverts and drainage.

How a Williamson County job works

  1. Call or send photos. Give us the address, a rough idea of the size and what you want done.
  2. We tell you if it fits. On the first call we say whether the job is large enough to make the drive sensible.
  3. Free on-site quote. One of us drives up and walks the property with you.
  4. We schedule and trailer in. The excavator, track loader and dump trailer come together so the work is not dragged out over many trips.
  5. Walk-through at the end before we load out.

Towns we work in

Franklin is the Williamson County seat, and that is where we take clearing, pad and acreage work. In Brentwood we focus on driveways, drainage and property edges. Spring Hill and Thompson's Station are the closest Williamson County towns to our regular Maury County work, and we also quote jobs in Nolensville. Franklin and Brentwood each have their own page: Franklin and Brentwood.

Permits and rules

Grading, clearing and stormwater rules differ between the cities and the county. Check with your city or county codes office before work starts. We do the dirt work; we do not pull permits, pour concrete or frame.

Frequently asked questions

Where are you based, and do you have an office in Williamson County?

We are based at 355 Tripp Road in Lawrenceburg, in Lawrence County. We do not have an office, yard or shop in Franklin, Brentwood or anywhere else in Williamson County. We trailer our equipment up for jobs and quote them free on site.

What size jobs do you take in Williamson County?

Larger jobs. Because the equipment travels from Lawrenceburg, Williamson County work makes the most sense for things like house and shop pads, acreage clearing, long driveways and full drainage runs. We do not post a minimum, so call and describe the job and we will tell you honestly if it fits.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. We walk the property with you and give a free on-site quote based on what is actually there. A few phone photos and the address help us tell you on the first call whether it is worth the trip.

Do you sell gravel, stone or fill dirt?

No. We are not a quarry or material yard. When a job needs stone, gravel or fill dirt we source it from a quarry and haul and deliver it to the site as part of the work.

Do you mulch the brush you clear?

No. We do not offer mulching. We cut brush with a brush hog (up to 10 inches thick) or clear it with the excavator, then pile it or haul it away. We do not climb trees or do tree service.

Which towns do you cover in Williamson County?

Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville, Spring Hill and Thompson's Station. If you are elsewhere in the county, call and ask.

This goes into our job book. Or call (931) 458-1500.
