Brentwood properties: lanes, ditches and edges

Brentwood lots are often wooded, sloped and reached by a long private drive. That mix turns drainage into the main problem: water runs down the lane, undercuts an entrance, or ponds where it should not. Our work here centers on moving water correctly and then putting the surface back. We are based in Lawrenceburg, not Brentwood, so we take it on for larger jobs and quote after walking the ground.

Drainage first: culverts, ditches and rip rap

A culvert only works if the ditch feeding it and the outlet behind it are right. We install and replace driveway culverts, clean out plugged ones, dig ditches with the Kubota KX057-5 and set rip rap at the ends so the water does not cut the bank. Rip rap and stone come from a quarry; we haul and deliver them and place them ourselves. We do not sell stone.

  • Culvert installation and replacement under drives and field entrances
  • Cleaning plugged or silted-in culverts and ditches
  • Ditch digging along lanes and property lines
  • Rip rap hauled in and placed at pipe ends and washed-out banks

Brush hogging fence lines and field edges

Overgrown edges hide drainage problems. A pass with the brush hog on our Kubota SVL 97-2 cuts brush, briars and saplings up to 10 inches thick so we can see where the water goes. It is not mulching; the material is cut and dropped, and we can pile it. We do not climb trees.

What helps us quote drainage work

  • Photos taken during or right after a rain
  • Where the lane meets the road and where the water leaves
  • The size of any existing pipe, if you know it
  • How far the ditch or lane runs

How a Brentwood drainage job goes

  1. Tell us where the water goes. Photos taken during or after a rain are the most useful.
  2. Free on-site look. We walk the lane and the low spots with you.
  3. One plan, one trip. Culvert, ditch, regrade and stone are planned together, because every trailer trip costs time.
  4. Dig, set, grade. Pipe and ditch first, then the surface.
  5. Walk-through and a look at the outlet before we leave.

Distance, honestly

Brentwood is well outside our home counties. We will not claim local crews or quick response. We will tell you plainly on the first call whether a job is the kind we travel for.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office or yard in Brentwood?

No. We are based at 355 Tripp Road in Lawrenceburg and have no Brentwood office, yard or local crew. Our equipment travels up on a trailer for the job.

What kinds of Brentwood jobs make sense for you?

Larger jobs where drainage or access is the problem: a culvert under a long drive, a ditch that has to run a long way, regrading a lane, or opening up overgrown edges. We do not post a minimum, so call and describe it.

Do you sell rip rap or stone?

No. We are not a quarry. We source rip rap and stone from a quarry and haul and deliver it to your site, then place it as part of the job.

Can you replace a failing culvert?

Yes. We install, replace and clean culverts and dig the ditches that feed them. Pipe size and cover depend on the site, so we look at it in person before quoting.

Do you mulch brush along the property lines?

No. We do not offer mulching. We brush hog fence lines and field edges up to 10 inches thick and pile or haul the material.

This goes into our job book. Or call (931) 458-1500.
